Art, Play, & Traditional Therapy is a private practice started by Michele Rattigan and Karen Hoisington in an effort to provide creative, ethical, and effective treatment for young children, older children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
The Center is a cooperative of mental health clinicians with their own private practices.
Our symbol is the labrynth, a maze of pathways leading to the center of self and back to living life with more self-awareness, more inner strength.
We share a deep respect for the process of growth and change that is required of us all as we live life. We are committed to the ethical standards of our profession to ensure the well-being and confidentiality of our clients.
We recognize the importance of a safe therapeutic environment for our clients as well as for ourselves. We respect and value differences and the uniqueness of each clients and so support a variety of modalities to allow clients a choice for effective therapeutic process.
As part of a helping profession, we acknowledge the importance of community involvement and commit ourselves to being of service when needed.
We, as the cooperative The Center, are committed to creating and maintaining an environment that models healthy living skills, promotes self-awareness, embraces acceptance and accountability, and stimulates the creative healing process in all of us.
